The Session
The elders of the local congregation share responsibility for shepherding, worship, discipleship, and discipline.
Redeemer is part of the Presbyterian Church in America. We are shepherded by elders, served by deacons, and accountable within presbytery and general assembly.
The elders of the local congregation share responsibility for shepherding, worship, discipleship, and discipline.
Regional churches and ministers provide mutual accountability, counsel, and oversight beyond the local congregation.
The broader church deliberates together on constitutional, doctrinal, and mission matters affecting the denomination.
As a congregation of the PCA, Redeemer is accountable to more than itself. Our elders serve under the oversight of our regional presbytery and the broader courts of the church.
We believe this accountability helps guard the church’s doctrine, worship, and leadership with humility and faithfulness. It also resists personality-driven ministry by keeping leadership plural and answerable.
